Charity Name: Staffordshire Wildlife Trust

Staffordshire Wildlife Trust aims to protect and enhance the wildlife and wild places of Staffordshire and to promote understanding, enjoyment and involvement in the natural world and has been doing so since August 1969.

It manages or owns 27 sites for nature conservation covering over 2,000 acres including sites of international, European and national importance.

The Trust is a membership organisation. It raises awareness about the natural environment in Staffordshire amongst other organisations and individuals and provides a way for interested people to protect areas of nature conservation value from inappropriate development. Trust membership stands at an all-time high of over 16,000 and is still growing.

Members and non-members alike can become involved in the Trust’s work by volunteering. The range of tasks available stretches from spade to computer with much in between.
