Knighton Community Support is a registered charity working in a small market town in rural Mid Wales. We operate a Community Transport Scheme, supporting local residents to access vital services and health care.We run a Charity Shop and Furniture Recycling Scheme which raises funds to subsidise the cost of journeys on Community Transport and to ensure its survival.We operate as a Volunteer Bureau providing referrals to a wide range of volunteering opportunities with other organisations and our own projects.
We offer one to one practical support to our clients,listening, signposting and befriending. We are partners in a network of 12 Community support projects throughout Powys working to deliver a diverse range of social support services.

We have been absolutely delighted to take part in the Giveacar scheme. We have had several cars donated to us through this scheme and it provides us with an additional way to riase very much needed funds to continue improving the lives of animals in The Gambia. It’s such an easy scheme to use and is easy for us as the charity, as well as being easy for th person who needs to scrap their car too.
