Bath Cats and Dogs Home

You CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Charity Name: Bath Cats and Dogs Home

We accept all dogs, cats and small animals in need – lost, abused, sick, injured and unwanted animals are brought in to us by the public, dog wardens and RSPCA inspectors. We have a strict non-destruction policy and aim to find every single animal a new loving home, no matter how long this may take.

Bath Cats and Dogs Home operates in an area of over 650 square miles throughout Bath, Somerset and Wiltshire. Formed in 1937 from an amalgamation of local rescue groups, we moved to Claverton Down in 1939 and the space has allowed us to expand to house over 120 dogs, 120 cats, 100 chickens and 50 or so rabbits and small animals at any one time.

As well as rescuing and re-homing animals in need we play an active role in the local community; attending shows and events throughout the year and giving educational talks on the importance of responsible pet ownership. It costs £1.5million per year to run the Home all of which has to be met through charitable donations.
