See what charities say about us
We've raised over £3.5million for charities since we started.
Hear from some of them about why they love Givecar...
Giveacar is an environmentally sound practise that ties in with our green ethos. We ask every unwanted car owner who cares about cat welfare to think seriously about donating to us through the scheme. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if everyone donated their unwanted car to help an unwanted cat?
Working with Giveacar has been like a breath of fresh air for us. We get genuinely excited when a cheque from Giveacar arrives as it is unexpected and much needed income that we can put towards our worldwide conservation programmes, from saving turtles in Nicaragua to protecting the mountains of Tajikistan. Thanks to Giveacar, unwanted vehicles are either disposed of in an environmentally secure manner or auctioned off. If this prevents more cars from being produced, that benefits our whole planet.

Deafness Research UK joined this fantastic scheme around a month ago and we have already received around £1000 to help fund our vital work. Giveacar has created huge fundraising potential for our charity and their professional and friendly team are always on hand to provide support when we need it. As a small charity, we do not have the capacity to manage these kinds of fundraising ideas so it came as welcome news that they would be handling it all for us at absolutely no cost. We are extremely thankful for Giveacar and we hope this is the start of a successful relationship to ensure that one day, all forms of hearing disability will be overcome.
We initially contacted Giveacar as we thought it could be another source of income for our small charity, but our partnership with Giveacar has exceeded all expectations. Through the link on our website we have so far received over £3,500 to help us support the young people with special needs in our care and run our children’s Hospice and community service which now reaches over 150 families each month. Thank you Giveacar for developing such a simple and yet effective way of bringing new life to so many people out of old cars.

What a refreshing and innovative way to fundraise! In just six months Children Today has received donations to the value of £2000 which will benefit children with disabilities living throughout the UK. It really is a ‘no brainer’ when it comes to disposing of unwanted motor vehicles and helping your favourite causes at the same time – long may Giveacar continue.

Giveacar is an increasingly popular way of raising vital funds for CARA (Charity No.:1135610). We have found that working with Giveacar has given us the professional support and enthusiasm we needed to launch and develop our services. It offers CARA’s members and supporters exciting adventures. In the words of one of our members: ‘I do not want this adventure with Giveacar to end’.

Giveacar is a fantastic, innovative way for people to donate to Cancer Research UK. We are hugely grateful to Giveacar for all the amazing donations we have received. With Giveacar’s help, we will be able to fund even more research and get closer to beating cancer.

What a fantastic way to raise funds for charity so far we have raised over £2200, the team at give a car make it so easy for people to scrap and give the donation to a charity of your choice. Thanks to their support and your donations we have managed to transform many of children’s lives across the UK.

There is always great excitement when a donation arrives from Giveacar for the Baobab Centre for Young Survivors. As we are a small, young organisation each donation makes a big difference to the services that we can provide and in just a few months we have new funds that enable us to help young asylum seekers and refugees who are alone in the UK attend long-term specialised psychotherapy and gain a sense of belonging in exile. Giveacar is a brilliant, simple idea that works for everyone: the environment, the donors and the beneficiaries. Don’t hesitate to donate your car for scrappage through Giveacar, you will be making a real difference. Congratulations Tom!

I can honestly say that I am frequently dubious about charity schemes on the internet but I can truthfully report that Giveacar has hardly taken up any of my time, was very easy to set up and has now raised £2,991.84 for the Sanctuary. The organiser is a pleasure to work with and it also helps the environment.
