See what charities say about us
We've raised over £3.5million for charities since we started.
Hear from some of them about why they love Givecar...
The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability in Putney, West London, has been linked with the Giveacar scheme for just a matter of weeks, and yet already the donations are starting to come in. I think the scheme is a fantastic idea and I can only applaud Tom for the effort he is putting into it purely to help charities like us who so desperately need support and funding. Working with Tom is a pleasure and I would thoroughly recommend www.giveacar.co.uk to anyone.
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People would like to say a big thank you to Giveacar for introducing such a fantastic scheme. This is such an innovative concept and an easy way for people to make a donation to the charity of their choice. It is so wonderful to know that this scheme is raising funds as well as being kind to the environment at the same time. We are very pleased to be working with Giveacar and the Giveacar Team are always so efficient in passing over donations made to us. A very big thank you from all of the children and young people across the East Midlands who will benefit from the donations made, you are helping us to make a difference to their very short lives.
Giveacar is a fantastic and innovative new way to raise money for charity. Since joining the site in June Railway Children has received 15 donations generating over £2,000 in funds to support vulnerable children living alone and at risk on our streets. Feedback from supporters who have used the site has been fantastic; most were very pleased to be able to donate their car in a ‘hassle-free’ way rather than having to go through the process of selling it or contacting scrap dealers.
Giveacar is a fantastic opportunity to become involved with an environmentally friendly project that delivers essential funds to charities throughout the UK. We have been working with Tom and his team for only a few weeks and already we have seen some amazing results. For us, each scrap car donated would feed a puppy for 6 weeks whereas a healthy car donated could do much, much more. I would urge you to get involved. Tom is a passionate man and he and his team have made it so easy to reap rewards. I have seen this project work brilliantly in the USA and our ‘hats off’ to Tom for making it work here too.
Orangutan Appeal UK have been signed up to the Giveacar initiative for the last 4 months and already we have received over £700 in donations! Its an original and costeffective fundraising tool for small charities such as the Appeal- it does not involve a lot of paper intensive administration, and on top of that its a brilliant environmentally friendly scheme too! Whenever one of the team at Giveacar inform us of a donations its a great surprise, and a cheque promptly arrives by post a few days later. Well done everyone for organising such an efficient and friendly service!
Ever since joining Give a Car in 2010 we have been amazed by, not only the frequency in which we receive donations, but also the amount that we receive. It continues to be a very effective way of fundraising and proves to be very popular with our supporters. It has also been a great way of raising awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) , as many people who have donated their cars found out about us through the Give a Car website. Thank you to everyone at Give a Car and thank you to all those who have donated to us.
Giveacar and Marie Curie Cancer Care have been working together for over 6 months now and we’ve found this to be a very valuable relationship. The idea behind Giveacar is a fantastic one and is raising money for great charities across the UK. Every £20 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care through Giveacar funds an hour of nursing care by Marie Curie Nurses for a terminally ill patient in their own home. We are delighted to be working together and look forward to growing this relationship in the future.
Thanks to Giveacar’s innovative service, our supporters have been able to put their old cars to good use and use this unique fundraising opportunity to raise money to help beat blood cancer. Thank you to all at Giveacar and everyone who has donated to Blood Cancer UK, because of you, we will beat blood cancer sooner.
We have only recently joined Giveacar and already we have received valuable funds for our work. At this time it is especially hard for charities and so we are very grateful to Giveacar for this opportunity. Not only does it help us in our otter work but it is also a sound environmental way of getting rid of old cars. Thanks to everyone involved with Giveacar and those who have donated to the International Otter Survival Fund.
The Kit Wilson Trust first got involved with Give a Car when a supporter needed to dispose of a relative’s car that had been sitting outside the house for many years. They didn’t want the hassle of trying to get it to the scrap yard, so found Give a Car. Everything was easy from start to finish and they donated the money, which was more than they thought they would get, to KWT. With such an easy process we then added KWT to the list of charities on the Give a Car website. So far we have raised £1,347.69 this way. Thank you Give a Car!
