Storehouse provides a lifeline for people in desperate circumstances and feel without hope. It works with social services and local housing trusts to offer free food bags, furniture recycling service and CAP Money courses.
Its vision is to serve with a Christ-like compassion to reach out to the “harassed and helpless” in the community (Bible: Matthew 9.36). It operates a strictly ‘no strings attached’ policy and looks to give dignity back to the individual, regardless of faith or background. Many who are referred to us come from broken families or have a history of abuse or homelessness of some sort. We are there for all without prejudice or judgement.
Our team is made up entirely of volunteers, along with a number of trained CAP Money Coaches. No-one is paid a salary and each gives of their time freely as an expression of their love and gratitude to God.
Storehouse is a compassion ministry of Stour Valley Vineyard Church and is based in Sudbury, south Suffolk. It is affiliated to Vineyard Churches and is a member of Churches Together.
