RSPCA Rochdale and District Branch

The people of Rochdale and surrounding areas have always had a soft spot for animals and as far back as 1889 there were people so keen to help vulnerable animals they were prepared to set up a branch of the RSPCA putting huge amounts of their own time and effort into it.

Since the branches inception it has been able to expand the range of services and issues for the animals they help. They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome domestic animals of all shapes and sizes. RSPCA Rochdale also offers a rescue service for sick and injured wildlife.

To make sure the services available are maintained to the highest possible standard, RSPCA Rochdale supports the local community and work closely with RSPCA inspectors who hand over animals the inspectors have removed from properties where the animal’s welfare is compromised. RSPCA Rochdale also have a commitment to take on animals who’s owners have passed away, giving them a second chance of finding a happy home.

Support is also given to the local college by providing work placements for students on animal care courses. This offers students the practical skills required to fully engage in the topic and become competent in their ability to help animals in need.

Giveacar and its donors are proud supporters of RSPCA Rochdale and District Branch as they work hard to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals from all backgrounds. If you’re planning to scrap or sell your car, give a car instead to offer animals from Rochdale a second chance. Do a good deed and help them continue this care by making RSPCA Rochdale the charity you support when you donate your car to charity.
