Plantlife is the charity that is speaking up for our wild flowers. From the open spaces of our nature reserves to the corridors of government, we’re here to raise their profile, to celebrate their beauty, and to protect their future.
Approximately one third of our plants is of conservation concern and has edged towards extinction. Plantlife is the charity that aims to secure the long-term future for our flowers, plants and fungi and the places they grow. Plantlife seeks a sustainable future where the natural capital of wild places are valued for their beauty and the benefits they give to society. In the UK we work at local, regional and national levels to ensure the future survival of the most vulnerable wild plants and their habitats. This is done by demonstrating sustainable conservation, increasing knowledge, developing policy and advocating for better wild plant conservation. We also work to engage and involve adults, young people and communities aiming to inspire enjoyment and learning about native wild plants for the many benefits it brings.
