PDSA is the UK’s leading vet charity. We are a national charity with a huge impact on local communities through our 48 Pet Hospitals across the UK. Every year, PDSA treats over 470,000 pets, helping more than 300,000 pet owners. Whether it is a single parent, someone with a disability or an elderly person living on their own, we help people from all lifestyles, by tackling poverty in a unique way.
Our work goes beyond caring for pets when they’re sick; we aim to prevent this from happening in the first place. We’re a leading authority on pet wellbeing and we’re committed to educating present and future owners on all aspects of pet ownership. We reach in excess of 90,000 children a year, educating them on the five animal welfare needs. It costs PDSA £72.9 million a year to deliver our charitable objectives. We receive no government or national lottery funding, so rely solely on generous donations to provide our services of saving pets and changing lives.
