The charity supports Imprezza Academy, a school with boarding facilities for orphans and those from far afield located in Western Region, Kenya.
Catherine Omanyo, director of Imprezza Academy founded the Academy in her twenties. She herself could not afford to go to school but achieved an education by sneaking into lessons and persuading a teacher to let her take exams. She was determined that others would not have to do the same.
Fee paying students and donations from Operation Imprezza cover all the costs of running the Academy and enable impoverished children and young adults to have an education. Fair and equal opportunities for boys and girls from all backgrounds is an underpinning philosophy of the Academy.
Imprezza provides at least one balanced meal a day to students who might otherwise only eat every other day. A good diet is essential to improving health and concentration in lessons.
Our aim is for Imprezza Academy to become self-sufficient by 2020.
