Noor Trust is an umbrella group of four organisations based in Harrow, aimed at providing services to Muslims in the UK and abroad, particularly children and young people. The four organisations are Noor Trust (the main organisation), Al-Huda and An-Noor Schools Association, Noor Youth Club, and Noor Orphans Fund.
The current activities of the group include two Saturday Schools from Reception to AS Level, currently benefited by around 650 pupils from Harrow and Brent. A leadership programme is conducted by the Youth Club to teach the required skills for leadership, and to safe guard youth from becoming victims of drug abuse and knives’ crime. In addition the club has an open circle discussion to address issues related to youth. However, the main objective behind setting up the Noor Orphans Fund was to encourage the youth of our community to donate for their most destitute and needy peers in Iraq, and thankfully this was paid off as now a day over 1300 Iraqi orphans are being benefited from the sponsorship scheme which offers monthly financial support. In addition, clothing project has attracted a substantial number of youth to the trust headquarter, who attend for voluntary work on a regular weekly basis to alleviate the struggle and the pain of orphans and to draw a smile on their faces.
