We work to change the lives of adults in Buckinghamshire with physical disabilities. Our main activity is to set up volunteer partnerships which enable our members to access learning, leisure and social activities, and overcome their social isolation.
Enrych Buckinghamshire enables adults who have a physical or sensory disability to overcome isolation, to improve their health and well-being, and so to become more confident and active members of their local community. We are a local, independent charity and make no charge for our services. We raise funds from grants and donations.
We provide a mix of services, tailored to meet the needs of each individual member:
• recruiting, checking, training and matching a local volunteer, e.g.enabling a member with Multiple Sclerosis to overcome his isolation by going fishing;
• providing supported introductions to existing local community groups, e.g. enabling a partially- sighted member to become healthier by participating in a rambling group;
• developing tailored new groups and activities within the locality, e.g. a lunch club;
• establishing an Enrych community through groups, outings, events and regular newsletters, e.g. a group visit by disabled members to Bletchley Park.
