Providing Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS)365 days a year, day and night, to people across East Anglia who are unfortunate enough to be involved in accidents or medical emergencies offering a standard of emergency care usually only found in hospital.
For people unfortunate enough to be involved in accidents or medical emergencies, the likelihood of a full recovery – perhaps even survival – can depend on the level of specialist care they receive and how quickly they receive it. This is where East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) can help.
Our two specially equipped aircraft can reach patients anywhere in the region within 25 minutes and convey them to hospital if necessary. The range of time-critical procedures performed at the scene by our highly skilled doctor/paramedic crews means they offer a standard of emergency care usually only found in hospital.
It’s this combination of advanced medical care at the incident site and rapid onward transfer to hospital which can be vital in saving lives and improving a patient’s prospects of making a full recovery.
But we need your help because EAAA is charity. We receive no regular, direct government funding and need to raise £8.6 million this year to be able to continue offering this life saving service.
