The Churn Project is a community charity, supporting the people in and around Cirencester, Gloucestershire. We aim to reduce isolation and exclusion for older people, young families and people who are unemployed in our community.
We were established in 2001 to help address the disadvantage experienced by people in parts of the town. These areas remain our focus though our services are now accessed by people from all parts of the town and nearby villages. Our aim is to reduce isolation and exclusion and to open up opportunities, improving the quality of life and well-being. In particular, we support older people for whom we provide volunteer visitors,drop-in groups and outings; young families for whom we provide advice, friendship and reassurance from the antenatal stage onwards; unemployed or low skilled people for whom we provide one-to-one support, training and engagement activities to help with a move towards work or volunteering.
