‘For the past three years The Children’s Society has helped me and my family with all sorts of problems and now things are finally looking up.’ Chris, aged 16.
The Children’s Society is a national charity that runs crucial local services, helping children and young people suffering from extreme hardship, abuse or neglect. We help them when they are at their most vulnerable, when they have nowhere left to turn.
Across the country, particularly in the poorest areas, we’re helping vulnerable children and young people through 80 services run by almost 900 staff and more than 9,000 volunteers.
We also work hand in hand with children to make sure their voices are heard, campaigning for changes to laws and policies.
Donating your car to The Children’s Society could help vulnerable young people in many different ways:
– £200 could help train a new project worker so they can provide care and support to a young runaway
– £100 could help provide a week of support and counselling for a child who has been sexually abused.
– £75 could let us offer training to professionals to help them stop child exploitation.
– £50 could pay for a project worker to give immediate care and support to a young carer and help them work through their problems.
Last year we helped over 34,000 children through our services and successfully campaigned for changes which will benefit over 1.8 million – with your support we can make a positive and real difference to the lives of many more. Thank you.
“ The Children’s Society has been a champion for me really. They never gave up shouting for me. And I really needed that.” Megan, aged 15
