Children in Need & Giveacar

It is that time of year again where BBC Children in Need will be gracing our screens. Children in Need and Giveacar have been working together since 2012, raising money for children across the UK.

The first ever broadcast was back in 1980 and since then they have gone on to raise over £950 million for young people.

This year’s event like all the others will be presented by a huge host of celebrities, Tess Daly, Marvin and Rochelle Humes, Graham Norton, Mel Giedroy, Ade Adepitan and Rob Beckett.

The Campaign is ‘Do Our Thing’, supporters are being asked to do what you love eg, passions and hobbies to help benefit young people in need ahead of the show.

Here at Giveacar our thing is raising money for charity. We have been supporting Children in Need for years. Back in 2012 we did 50 for Pudsey where we set a target to get 50 donations for the charity which we managed to beat! This month we have been mentioning Children in Need to all our customers and have managed to get loads of donations so far. The appeal night starts Friday at 7.30pm  BBC One, however, there will be several shows taking place before the main event.

Do you have an unwanted car? If so why not Giveacar? We will scrap or auction your car and donate the proceeds to Children in Need to help them continue the great work they do to help children from deprived backgrounds. Your donation can ensure children across the UK are kept safe, happy and secure. Do a good deed and help Children in Need when you donate your car to charity.
