Free healthcare, education, and vocational training have been provided since 1979, when British doctor Jack Preger MBE opened his medical bag on the streets of Kolkata and started treating people. Word spread and Calcutta Rescue was founded.

Calcutta Rescue Fund is a UK registered charity (number 290917) that exists to support the vital work of Calcutta Rescue in India.

We have been absolutely delighted to take part in the Giveacar scheme. We have had several cars donated to us through this scheme and it provides us with an additional way to riase very much needed funds to continue improving the lives of animals in The Gambia. It’s such an easy scheme to use and is easy for us as the charity, as well as being easy for th person who needs to scrap their car too.
