African Promise supports a cluster of primary schools in a rural corner of Kenya, helping them to deliver an education worth having and make the long walk to school that so many children face each day a worthwhile one.
We do this by rebuilding, extending and upgrading existing government schools and then establishing long-term partnerships that deliver on-going support in areas where it is needed most including the provision of a daily lunch to every pupil, funding for much-needed additional teachers and support staff, and the ad-hoc supply of books and other educational resources and equipment.
In doing so our work helps to remove many of the barriers that prevent children in rural Kenya from accessing and receiving even a basic standard of education, ensuring more children are in school more of the time, and bringing hope for a better today and a brighter future tomorrow.
