“ Giveacar is the brain child of a socially aware and very green group who saw the opportunity to help people with the eternal problem of what to do with an old, possibly much loved car that has become too expensive to fix while at the same time helping good causes. The charity Multiple Sclerosis Research has already received just under £2,200 through Giveacar donations ranging from £38 to £255. We are most grateful to the 23 car donors who wanted to dispose of their old cars responsibly while helping MS Research to carry out vital research to help young people affected by a life changing, progressive disabling condition. There are approximately 100,000 people in the UK diagnosed with MS. It can mean increasing dependency, often with pain, fatigue, loss of personal dignity and restriction to 'disabled accessible' environments. The focus of MS Research is on finding real answers to the many and varied difficulties those who have MS and those close to them face daily. If you have an old car that has come to the end of its useful life Giveacar will collect and appropriately and responsibly recycle all car donations free of charge to you while providing valuable income to the charity. ”
