Register your charity
If you are a charity and would like the opportunity to promote the Giveacar scheme, please fill out the following form and we will add you to our register and promote you on our website. You must be registered with the Charity Commission and committed to effectively promote the scheme, for example:including Giveacar in your magazine sent to subscribers can increase donations by up to 50%. Please note: You must have a UK bank account (to receive donations), an active email account (to receive donation information) and a functioning website.
Giveacar is the acting agent between the donor and the charity. We will process payments to charities' in line with our service level agreement of 6-8 weeks from the date of donation. Our preferred method of payment is by bank transfer, it's safer and speedier but we often make cheque payments! The donor will receive an e-receipt or postal receipt and all charities' get a remittance with the relevant accounting information. We ask that the charity thanks the donor for their donation, now an obligatory Fundraising Regulator requirement.
As a not-for-profit organisation the service fee taken from the net proceeds goes towards the running costs of the scheme. There are no shareholders, we don't receive government funding, everything we do is self-sustaining and the company directors have never taken a penny from the business.
