[value] => South Bucks Hospice first opened for patients in April 1994 and provides bothdaycare and outpatient therapy alongside a dedicated lymphoedema clinic. We offer specialist palliative care to adults with cancer and other advanced life-limiting illnesses such as Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons and Motor
Neurone disease. However, looking after people who are at the terminal stages of illness is only a small part of the work we do at the Hospice. We provide care and support for both the patient and their carer and family members from early diagnosis throughout their illness and continue support even after treatment has finished ensuring they have the different types of therapy and support available as they need them. In addition, our dedicated lymphoedema clinic offers specialist therapy for anyone suffering with this condition. Having an advanced illness can raise all sorts of practical physical and emotional issues which affect not only the patient but their family as well. Our aim is to help individuals manage their condition more effectively and to improve their overall quality of life.
