RSPCA South Cotswolds
The South Cotswolds Branch of the RSPCA is an independently registered charity and has been offering animal welfare services since 1962. The Branch is run by a committee of volunteer trustees; most have full time occupations and willingly give up their spare time to oversee the branch, provide governance and develop sustained recurring revenue.
The Branch operates a twice weekly veterinary clinic in Stroud and has three charity shops located in Cirencester, Nailsworth and Stroud. It provides various animal welfare services in the Cirencester, Fairford, Tetbury, Nailsworth, Wotton-under-Edge, Berkeley and Stonehouse areas. Its main focus is the re-homing of unwanted domestic animals, predominantly dogs and cats.
As an independently registered charity, the Branch has to raise all the funds necessary to support its work. This is done through various fundraising activities, our shops, legacies and donations. All money raised locally is used for local animal welfare, benefiting the local community by helping it care for its pets as well as helping animals who are unfortunate enough to lose their home or who are without a home.
