People often think that this is an issue just in the big cities. The truth is it can happen anywhere. At key we work with around 400 vulnerable young people each year.

Homelessness is a complex issue and is about more than housing.

Homelessness has a massive impact on the young people. For many, these problems have their root in suffering they have faced in their past, but without the right support, homelessness can lead to a downward spiral.

Young people say they have often felt worthless and hopeless while they are homeless – Their lack of accommodation making it impossible for them to plan a positive future.
