Charity Name: KEMP Hospice

KEMP Hospice offers specialist palliative care to patients across the Wyre Forest and surrounding area who are living with a life-threatening illness.
This care can take place at KEMP Hospice or in a patient’s own home and is provided free of charge.

Everyone is unique and that’s why KEMP Hospice recognises and values each individual. The dedicated team care for the whole person through a comprehensive range of treatments, which range from Physiotherapy, Occupational therapy, Day Care to Complementary therapy and Creative therapy.

Support is also given to families and carers, both practical and emotional, which includes carers’ evenings, bereavement support and advice on finance, housing and benefits.

It currently costs £850,000 each year to provide this support and KEMP Hospice only receives approximately 15% of it’s funding from the local health authority. Therefore they rely very heavily on voluntary donations and help from the local community.

We have been absolutely delighted to take part in the Giveacar scheme. We have had several cars donated to us through this scheme and it provides us with an additional way to riase very much needed funds to continue improving the lives of animals in The Gambia. It’s such an easy scheme to use and is easy for us as the charity, as well as being easy for th person who needs to scrap their car too.

So far, we have received an amazing £37,947.11 through Giveacar donations. Today, 771 million people don’t have clean water close to home and 1.7 billion people don’t have access to a proper toilet.
