Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity is absolutely delighted to be benefiting from the fantastic Giveacar initiative. A huge thank you to everyone at Giveacar and the individuals who have donated their vehicles in aid of Rainbow Trust – the £3,600 contributed to date will fund a Rainbow Trust Family Support Worker for 1 month – providing emotional and practical support for up to 25 families who have a child suffering from a life threatening or terminal illness.’
Giveacar has proven to be a trouble free and simple way to fund our work. What a good idea to turn the unwanted car in a supporters drive into vital support for those affected when a baby or child dies, or a child is bereaved.
We are so grateful to Giveacar for so far raising over £2,500 for Rays of Sunshine. All the money raised goes towards granting more magical wishes and we look forward to receiving further donations in the future.
Dementia UK began working with Giveacar in 2011 and in just one year, the scheme has raised more than £3,000 for the charity. These donations are vital in helping us continue our work to support all those affected by dementia and their families. Giveacar is one of the most efficient and friendly organisations that we work with, providing excellent customer service and fantastic donor care. Donation reports always arrive quickly with all the information needed to thank our donors for their generosity. We have been working with Giveacar for the past year, and so far have raised over £1400 for the Macular Disease Society. These donations will help us in our work supporting people with macular conditions, while also helping our members and supporters to get rid of unwanted vehicles. The Giveacar staff are always helpful and the service is quick and efficient – just what we look for in a fundraising scheme. Ever since joining Give a Car in 2010 we have been amazed by, not only the frequency in which we receive donations, but also the amount that we receive. It continues to be a very effective way of fundraising and proves to be very popular with our supporters. It has also been a great way of raising awareness of Rheumatoid Arthritis and the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS) , as many people who have donated their cars found out about us through the Give a Car website. Giveacar and Marie Curie Cancer Care have been working together for over 6 months now and we’ve found this to be a very valuable relationship. The idea behind Giveacar is a fantastic one and is raising money for great charities across the UK. Every £20 raised for Marie Curie Cancer Care through Giveacar funds an hour of nursing care by Marie Curie Nurses for a terminally ill patient in their own home. We are delighted to be working together and look forward to growing this relationship in the future.
Infertility Network UK are delighted to be working with Giveacar.
