Gainsborough Adventure Playground Ltd

The aims of the charity are to provide imaginative and challenging free play and recreational activities for children, young people and families. We allow children and young people to make decisions and to take acceptable risks in a safe caring environment. We work in partnership with families to promote and encourage the physical, intellectual and social development of children, particularly those who are disadvantaged, so they can flourish at home and when they go to school.

GAPA makes an enormous contribution to the social care of the community, its children, young people and families and has vast experience in delivering creative, educational and developmental activities that are recognized and treasured by the local community and nationally by organisations such as Play England and Birth to Five Service. GAPA is regularly used as a case study for good practice and we are frequently consulted on play, inclusion and community participation.
