Friends of Michael Sobell House
Michael Sobell House (MSH) Hospice provides specialist palliative care services completely free of charge for patients who face cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, as well as vital support for their families and carers.
Over and above services funded by the NHS, fundraising and charitable donations pay for:-
• The Day Therapies Unit, offering patients access to specialist palliative
care on a weekly basis
• The Outreach service, which gives patients and their families access to
specialist nursing care in their own home
• Physiotherapy and complementary therapy, Social Work and Bereavement
Counselling and Audit & Research
• Education, improving the delivery of palliative care in a wide variety of
settings
We are very reliant on the generosity of the communities we serve to maintain patient care and have to raise at least £1.2m annually from charitable fundraising and donations.
Fundraising schemes such as this one are absolutely vital to us as we fundraise for patients in need of care and support.
