Dorset Youth Association

Dorset Youth Association improves the lives of over 6,000 young people and their communities every year. We provide training and activities to develop self confidence and understanding. We put young people at the heart of their communities and community at the heart of young people.
There are over 57,000 children and young people in Dorset, which has 97.5% rural geography. Access to housing, transport and jobs are amongst the lowest in the UK.
Every year Dorset Youth Association provides services to an average of 6,000 young people, 400 volunteer youth workers and over 200 youth groups and clubs.
We deliver fun and educational activities for groups of young people who take part in sports, arts, independent living training, social actities and volunteering.
Over 60% of our funding is sourced from charitable activities and we are ever grateful to our supporters who make our essential work viable.
