The NSPCC has greatly benefitted through the Giveacar scheme and we would like to thank each and every one of the donors who have chosen the NSPCC to benefit through their participation in this car scrappage initiative. From a simple idea conceived by a young man with talent and vision ,we have watched this social business, with giving at its heart, grow to what it has become today – an amazing success - helping many worthwhile causes! There are 1 million Orphans in Malawi. By donating your car to Open Arms you will give a vulnerable child the chance they deserve, to grow up within a loving family and the security of a home. Open Arms Malawi is delighted to have won the Giveacar road trip competition! The donations that we will receive will feed one of our foster houses for a whole year, or provide a month’s formula milk for the babies in our care. Every car that is scrapped through Giveacar really will make a big difference to the lives of the children in Open Arms Infant Homes. We are hugely grateful to Giveacar for providing this fantastic and innovative way of raising money for so many good causes. Thank you!
War Child began working with Giveacar in December 2011 and we are delighted to have raised over £1,000 in such a short period of time. We believe that successful fundraising comes from simple ideas and Giveacar is a great example of this. The money donated to War Child through Giveacar will help to deliver our education, protection and livelihood support programmes to children living in some of the world’s most dangerous countries.
Food For Thought Africa are proud to have been working with Giveacar for a year and a half now. This is a fantastic fundraising scheme whereby Giveacar do all the work and charities like ours receive all the benefit! The Giveacar team are friendly and helpful and there is total transparency throughout the process. So far Giveacar have helped to raise over £1,000 for Food For Thought Africa and this money has been used to feed 75 school children in one of the poorest parts of Africa for 1 year. We look forward to continuing to work with Giveacar in the future and would recommend that anyone wishing to get rid of an old car give Giveacar a call.

Giveacar is a really simple and unique way for our supporters to donate towards our work. What’s more, people are discovering Toybox through the Giveacar scheme itself! We really enjoy offering this really innovative and environmentally friendly way to fundraise. The scheme was easy to join and the Giveacar team have been really efficient in processing donations.
Giveacar is a fantastic and innovative new way to raise money for charity. Since joining the site in June Railway Children has received 15 donations generating over £2,000 in funds to support vulnerable children living alone and at risk on our streets. Feedback from supporters who have used the site has been fantastic; most were very pleased to be able to donate their car in a ‘hassle-free’ way rather than having to go through the process of selling it or contacting scrap dealers.
We initially contacted Giveacar as we thought it could be another source of income for our small charity, but our partnership with Giveacar has exceeded all expectations. Through the link on our website we have so far received over £1,300 to help us support the young people with special needs in our care. Thank you Giveacar for developing such a simple and yet effective way of bringing new life to so many people out of old cars.

There is always great excitement when a donation arrives from Giveacar for the Baobab Centre for Young Survivors. As we are a small, young organisation each donation makes a big difference to the services that we can provide and in just a few months we have new funds that enable us to help young asylum seekers and refugees who are alone in the UK attend long-term specialised psychotherapy and gain a sense of belonging in exile. Giveacar is a brilliant, simple idea that works for everyone: the environment, the donors and the beneficiaries. Giveacar has been a hugely successful means of fundraising for ABC Trust since we joined the initiative at the beginning of the year. As a very small organisation, we often find ourselves too short of man-power to administer new and innovative fundraising ideas such as this and therefore it is wonderful to have such an efficient body taking care of the logistics for us and thus enabling us to raise both funds and awareness for our cause at absolutely no cost. Given the vast number of charitable organisations working within the UK nowadays, it is also very important that donors are given new and different ways to donate. With increasing fatigue towards sponsored runs and on-street charity fundraisers, it is essential for fundraising to start providing people with alternative ways to help and I believe this to be why Give A Car has been so successful for so many charitable organisations, including our own.
