The Carmarthenshire branch of Cats Protection was started in 2012. Currently, we are a small but growing team of volunteers who work together to fundraise in order to make the branch into an operational one, where we can start fostering and re-homing cats and kittens. We are progressing steadily and are currently working hard to install a small number of pens.

The extent of the problem is that there are so many unwanted cats and litters of kittens, rescue centres are becoming overwhelmed and over-housed and having to resort to waiting lists - there is a big job ahead of us and our main aims are:

Homing - Finding good homes for cats in need Neutering - Supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats Information - Improving people’s understanding of cats and their care

We are all unpaid volunteers, so every penny donated to our branch will go directly towards achieving the above aims.

We also help with raising awareness and can offer talks in the community.

The branch doesn't have a centre (the nearest is CP Bridgend Adoption Centre), so we have to rely on foster homes to take cats in until they can be rehomed - if you are interested in fostering, please get in touch.
