[value] => Homelessness is present in all our communities - Long Eaton, Sandiacre, Stapleford, Ilkeston, Beeston, Sawley.
The Canaan Trust has been helping and supporting the needs of homeless males in the area since 1995. The Trust provides support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week,
365 days a year.
The service provided by the Trust is about more that just the provision of accommodation - that is but the visible tip of our service. The Trust also provides support to address the health, education, budgetting, addictions, counselling, living skills, volunteering and work related activities to name a few.
Our service provides the homeless with somewhere they can come to start the process of rebuilding their lives.
The Trust reduces the social and institutional impact of homelessness within the community. By providing a positive alternative to living rough, or sofa surfing, sleeping in garages, sheds or a car our service reduces the impact on police time, NHS services, and local authority staff time and resources.
The Trust is dedicated to enabling each client to achieve the best they can achieve, attain economic well being, be healthy, stay safe and in every way possible make a positive contribution.
Ultimately the Trust seeks to enable every client to successfully move on maintaining themselves in a positive independent manner.
[summary] => Homelessness is alive and well: The Canaan Trust provides support and accommodation to homeless males 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Person centred our service seeks to assist each individual to rebuild their lives, to achieve the best they can, and to successfully move on attatining independent living in their own tenancies.

The Canaan Trust
Homelessness is present in all our communities - Long Eaton, Sandiacre, Stapleford, Ilkeston, Beeston, Sawley.
