Camberwell Choir School

HQ Location:
London

Location of benefit:
UK only (local)

Established in 1990, Camberwell Choir School (reg charity no 1002667) is a music and arts project for children and young people aged 0-18 in inner-city south London. The emphasis is on learning musical skills while having fun. Children, staff and volunteers all reflect the diversity of the local community, and we're proud to have as our patron international opera star Sir Willard White. We particularly aim our four age-related sessions at children and young people who would not otherwise have the opportunity to access high quality music tuition, through cost or social exclusion. We charge just £1 a week, which includes small group tuition on piano, guitar, violin, brass, tuned percussion and drums, a wide range of singing activity and healthy refreshments. By giving to us, you help over 300 children and young people each year make a real difference to their lives by gaining confidence through playing and performing, and acquiring musical and social skills that stay with them for life. Photographs and video clips can be found on our website to give you a broader picture of our activity, or email us with any specific questions.
