British Wireless Fund for the Blind
British Wireless Fund for the Blind is a small natioanl charity that aims to provide all registered blind and partially sighted people over eight years of age and resident in the U.K. who meet our 'in need' criteria, with a radio or audio set, suited to their needs, on free loan. British Wireless Fund for the Blind also provide a supporting service and undertake repairs and replacement of sets when necessary.
The charity has a network of represntatives and Regional Managers across the U.K. who visit and assess potential recipients and install suitable sets. The charity's governing board is comprised of representatives of a number of charities assisting blind people.
Sets are designed to meet the needs of blind and visually impaired people. They are very robust, have controls which are easy to use and are labelled in a high contrast colour for those users with residual sight.
