We are Berkshire East & South Bucks Women’s Aid, a local registered charity based in Slough. We support victims of domestic abuse from Maidenhead, Windsor, Bracknell, Slough and South Bucks.

We run three safe houses where women and children fleeing domestic abuse can seek safe shelter. Last Year 98 Women and children benefited from this service.

In 2009 we launched our award winning Children’s Services Department which works with children and young people affected by domestic abuse to help them overcome the abuse that they have witnessed and reach their full potential.
As well as providing frontline help by way of therapeutic one-to-one play and group work for children and young people. Last year 209 children and young people benefited directly from the work whilst 665 young people attended a workshop about healthy relationships within our local schools.

We also run our Queen’s Award winning Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy and Outreach project which supports local victims, many of whom are still living within the abusive relationship, to escape and rebuild their lives. Last year 549 local victims were helped.
