There are more than half a million people in the UK living with autism, an invisible, misunderstood and lonely disability. 60,000 live in the West Midlands. Our passionate, expert staff and volunteers work across all age groups and abilities, providing direct, specialist support to people affected by autism. Our mission is to enable people with autism of all ages and abilities, and those who love and care for them, to lead fulfilling and rewarding lives. We aim to achieve this by: providing the best person-centred support and increasing the life skills and independence of people with autism; helping people with autism towards employment and enabling them to become part of their local community; championing the rights of people with autism and increasing public awareness and understanding; offering help and advice to the families of people with autism; forming strong and positive links with other charities and organisations and; providing specialist training on all aspects of autism.
