NACOA

Nacoa provides information, advice and support to children of alcohol-dependent parents and people concerned with their welfare. This includes children of all ages, many of whose problems only become apparent in adulthood. It does this through a free and confidential telephone, email and letter helpline which is staffed entirely by trained volunteer counsellors.
Nacoa also works to reach professionals who work with these children and to raise the profile of children of alcohol-dependent parents in the public consciousness. It also aims to raise awareness of the particular problems faced by those who grow up with parental alcoholism and explore how alcoholism can be prevented from developing in this vulnerable group of children.

Nacoa relies heavily on voluntary support and donations so any endeavour to help Nacoa’s work be carried out is greatly appreciated.
